Outreach and Education
The CVCFSC is committed to providing fire safety education and awareness programs targeting local residents and landowners. We participate in a number of community outreach events designed to provide residents throughout the County of Ventura with important information about fire safety.
We also partner with local fire departments to offer fire safety education programs to the community.
Our largest public education event is the Public Safety Awareness Day at the Ventura County Fair, which took place on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 12noon to 4pm in the Agricultural Building. Over 800 visitors joined us for hands-on activities presented by the City of Ventura Fire Department, County of Ventura Fire Protection District, U.S Forest Service, AMR Ambulance, the Humane Society and more!
If you are interested in participating in the 2019 Public Safety Awareness day – Saturday, August 3, 2019 – as an exhibitor, please contact Jenise Wagar-Hernandez at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (805) 804-7735
The mission of the Central Ventura County Fire Safe Council is to reduce the threat of wildfire to farms, ranches, urban neighborhoods and infrastructure, through an aggressive program of action, education and collaboration with local, state and federal fire protection agencies.
